Streaming services have only just come to popularity in the last few years. The access to quality and stable internet has helped companies like Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play music to rise and offer an alternative to the traditional ways of music consumption. Streaming services was an answer to a growing problem in the age of technology and the declining profitability of the Music industry. When people discovered that having a giant network of computers linked together on something like the internet, they found ways to share media between themselves for free. Music Pirating was eating away at the music industry and resulting in artists for the first time making a loss from album sales. Steaming services has solved that problem by offering easy, legal, safe, consistent access to Millions of songs. And although artists don't profit much from streaming services it's better than the alternative of the music industry dying from pirating of music. Streaming services has made the pirating industry into a business and that is a good thing i think.
