There are so many ways to listen to music, each new version of a way to consume is a leg up on the previous but they all also come with a downside. for example, Vinyl has the nostalgic feel and process of putting on and spinning the album and it also has a warmth to the sound, the next big leap in consumption was the Tape and then the Compact disc. and although the sound quality, size of the item for storage and ease of use has improved, you loose the process of physically going through the motions of putting on a Vinyl.
The next big leap after that was the rise of digital listening and the MP3, the up side is you have access to hundreds of songs on a small device but the audio quality lacks due to the compression and the poor quality in ear headphones that were available. Now the rise of the streaming service you have access to Millions of songs with quality WAV streams and well engineered listening equipment.
